Beyond that, in the boarding houses where poor patients and their families stay while seeking treatment in major cities, living conditions remain difficult and inadequate. This is the reason the WeTreo project was launched on MoMo \u2014 Vietnam\u2019s largest e-wallet platform \u2014 and has since begun to spread within the community.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"\">What is WeTreo?<\/h2>\n<p data-start=\"776\" data-end=\"1300\">Over the past six months, \u201cPh\u1edf Treo,\u201d \u201cB\u00fan Treo,\u201d \u201cC\u01a1m Treo,\u201d and similar shops have quietly appeared across Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, quickly creating a strong social impact. The model works simply: when a customer buys a meal for themselves, they may choose to pay for a second or third meal but \u201chang\u201d it at the shop. The shop owners are responsible for providing these meals \u2014 identical in value and quality to paid meals \u2014 to people in need, such as street vendors, the homeless, and elderly individuals living alone.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1302\" data-end=\"1486\">Thanks to this model, the pair of shops <em data-start=\"1342\" data-end=\"1352\">Ph\u1edf Treo<\/em> in Hanoi and <em data-start=\"1366\" data-end=\"1376\">B\u00fan Treo<\/em> in Ho Chi Minh City were recently honored at the <strong data-start=\"1426\" data-end=\"1450\">WeChoice Awards 2024<\/strong> as inspiring community initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Building on this idea, the WeChoice Awards organizing committee, together with the Hat Vung Charity Foundation, MoMo, and several partners, launched the WeTreo project on a larger scale with the goal of establishing a nationwide network of \u201changing meal\u201d shops \u2014 all connected through a unified application platform on MoMo.<\/p>\n<p>During the WeChoice Awards 2024 Gala on January 12, director Vi\u1ec7t T\u00fa presented the WeTreo symbol to the owners of Ph\u1edf Treo and B\u00fan Treo, officially kicking off the project. He shared that while there may be only two participating shops today, that number could one day grow to 20,000 or even 200,000. The symbol represents hope \u2014 that no one should have to worry about going hungry.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ObjectBoxContent_1737172231842\" class=\"VCSortableInPreviewMode alignCenter\" data-back=\"#FFFBF2\" data-border=\"#F2D1AA\" data-text-color=\"#333333\">\n<div class=\"\">\n<blockquote><p><strong>\u201cIf you want to hang a sign, just be brave!\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>During the project launch, Ms. Nguy\u1ec5n Th\u1ecb C\u00e1t L\u1ec7, owner of Ph\u1edf Treo B\u1ea3o Kh\u00e1nh, shared:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat we\u2019re doing is simply sending a message to all shops: if you want to hang the sign, be brave \u2014 the community will stand with you. That collective support will help many people in difficult circumstances feel nourished and cared for. And they, in turn, will help others in need, restoring faith that there is still kindness in this world. I just want Ph\u1edf Treo and B\u00fan Treo to be a happy stop for anyone going through hardship or needing help from the community.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<h2 class=\"\">The first shops joining the WeTreo network<\/h2>\n<p class=\"\">As of the morning of January 18, six establishments have joined the WeTreo network: B\u00fan C\u00e1 L\u00f3c Phan L\u00ea \u2013 Cao Th\u1eafng, Robusta Honey Coffee Company \u2013 Balzar Ho\u00e0ng Sa branch, S\u1eefa H\u1ea1t Xanh Premium, B\u00e1nh B\u00e8o N\u1eadm L\u1ecdc 3 M\u1eb9t \u2013 Hoa Cau, B\u00e1nh B\u00e8o N\u1eadm L\u1ecdc 3 M\u1eb9t \u2013 L\u00ea V\u0103n S\u1ef9, and Caf\u00e9 H\u1ea1t \u2013 T\u00f4 Hi\u1ec7u. The number of \u201changing meals\u201d contributed so far is approximately 30 portions.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3257\" data-end=\"3372\">In a recent interview, Mr. <strong data-start=\"3284\" data-end=\"3302\">Nguy\u1ec5n Huy B\u1ea3o<\/strong>, owner of <em data-start=\"3313\" data-end=\"3323\">Caf\u00e9 H\u1ea1t<\/em> (G4 Alley 233 T\u00f4 Hi\u1ec7u, C\u1ea7u Gi\u1ea5y, Hanoi), shared:<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3374\" data-end=\"3637\"><em data-start=\"3374\" data-end=\"3637\">\u201cIn the rush of daily life, many vulnerable people face immense hardships. For them, life\u2019s burdens cannot be solved overnight. A \u2018hanging\u2019 meal not only fills the stomach but also offers emotional comfort \u2014 a reminder that kindness and compassion still exist.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-85715 aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/ipos.vn\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/08\/22-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1280\" height=\"1268\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cC\u01a1m treo and ph\u1edf treo express the humanity and quiet romance of community spirit \u2014 where everyone contributes a little to create something beautiful. Free meals do more than ease hunger; they spread warmth, hope, and faith in a brighter future.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis model becomes even more meaningful because it is not only about helping people \u2018fill their stomachs,\u2019 but about nourishing their spirit. A \u2018hanging\u2019 cup of coffee is an invitation to pause, breathe, enjoy a moment of calm, and regain the strength needed for the journey ahead. We hope that there will be a hanging coffee every day \u2014 starting with one cup, then two, then ten \u2014 to continue spreading compassion throughout the community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In another development, the campaign \u201cTogether Contribute 10,000 Hanging Meals \u2013 Sharing Warmth with Those in Need\u201d has so far received support from more than 110 contributors, raising over 8 million VND.
